
With the symbolic handing over of the steering wheel of his DTM car, Michael Huber, Trilux GmbH & Co. KG Chief representative, has officially welcomed Ralf Schumacher as member of Team Trilux AMG Mercedes. “We hope to not only hand you the key to the car, with this gesture, but also to a successful DTM season,” said Huber regarding Ralf Schumacher’s debut on the DTM grid.
Trilux are supporting a DTM team for the second consecutive year, now. “We feel comfortable in the DTM environment with its technology and its emotions,” revealed Huber, “As the light business and motor racing are similar, in this area.” According to the Chief Representative, high tech and precision as well as passion and enthusiasm are vital in both motor racing and the search for light solutions.
Racing driver Ralf Schumacher looks forward to the co-operation in the forthcoming season. “I’m a real rookie in DTM,” he admits, “But I’m looking forward to learning a lot of new things.” When asked about his chances in his debut season, he smiled and answered the question in the perfect way for his sponsor: “In the coming weeks, you will witness me bringing light into this darkness, at the DTM circuits.” In an interview at the Trilux stand, Schumacher admitted that DTM has fascinated him all times: “Actually, I always was keen on racing such a car. I like the series, I like the environment and I like the enthusiastic and positive DTM supporters.” At the same time, Michael Huber is convinced that supporting Ralf Schumacher represents a communication highlight. “In the coming season, Ralf will be a figure-head for the entire season and at the circuits, he will cause a stir as crowd-puller.”
Ralf Schumacher used his final days off prior to the season kick-off held this weekend at the Hockenheinring to visit the Trilux stand at the fair ‘light+building’ held in Frankfurt. There, he did not only receive the steering wheel for his DTM car alone but also was welcomed by some of his numerous fans who promised the German to cross their fingers for him, this year.
